Lee Roy Abney

Lee Roy Abney, 79, died Thursday, June 1, 2023, at the Todd Dickey Nursing Home in Leavenworth, Indiana.
A native of Paris, KY, he was the son of the late Everett and Nellie Risen Abney. He was a horseman and worked for several horse farms including Spendthrift Farm and Windfall Farm. He was also a veteran of the United States Army.
He is survived by one son, Damien Abney; one brother, Paul Abney; two sisters, Lourenda Bishop and Opal Walker and two nephews, Joey (Inez) Mitchell and Wayne Edgington.In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by one brother, Mike Abney and two sisters, Louise Edgington and Addie Estes.
A memorial service will be conducted at 2:00 PM Saturday, June 17, 2023 at the Lusk-McFarland Funeral Home, 1120 Main St., Paris, KY by Bro. Lane Goff.
Visitation will be from 1:00 PM until the time of service on Saturday, June 17, 2023 at the funeral home.
