Rondey Eugene Scott

Rondey Eugene Scott, lovingly called “Jit”, sadly departed this life on Wednesday, July 26, 2023. Rondey was born to, but now deceased parents, Jack and Mary Scott on Thursday, September 29, 1960 in Cincinnati OH. They moved to Powell County in 1976 and he graduated from Powell Co. High School. Shortly after graduation, he enlisted in the US Marines, where he completed two years of service. He and Michelle married on September 9, 2000. “Jit” loved many things, but his main hobby was gardening. Along with his parents, Rondey was preceded in death by his sister, Jacqueline Scott. 

He leaves to cherish many memories, his wife, Michelle Scott, sons; Roderick Jacobs and Samuel Scott. Sister; Sylvia MCLemore. Brothers; Jack Knight Scott (Beth), Fred Scott (Dana), Alfonso Scott (Misty), Anthony Scott and Theodore Scott. Nieces; Te’Anna Scott, Precious Scott, Fredtrice Scott, Courtney Scott, Jonne, Shiyaan, Davia and Keyasha. Nephews; Austin Scott, Chase Scott, Ethan Scott, William Scott, Josh Scott and Demarcus Scott. Sister in law; LaDawn Patterson, Brother in law; Jon Stevenson, Mother in Law; Sarah Stevenson, Father in Law; Samuel Stevenson and a host of other family members and friends. May our beloved family members rest in peace.

A Graveside service was conducted at 11:00 AM, Saturday, August 5, 2023, at the Winchester Cemetery 625 West Lexington Ave., Winchester, KY 40391.

The funeral arrangements were entrusted to Lusk McFarland Funeral Home, 1120 Main St., Paris, KY.
