Delania Louise Stivers Sapp

It is with profound sadness that the family of Delania Louise Stivers Sapp announces her sudden passing on February 3, 2024, following a brief illness. A cherished mother, Mrs. Sapp was a resident of Millersburg, Kentucky. She is preceded in death by her beloved husband, Roy Sapp; sisters, Dorothy Shannon, Rosetta Barlow, and Anna Mae Stivers. She leaves behind her daughter, Machelle Sapp Elam, son-in-law, Danny Elam, and two adored grandsons, Joe Elam (Caroline Morton), and Josh Elam (Jenny Hubbard). Also surviving are two great grandchildren, Aubree Elam, Layla Elam; and a brother, Wayne Stivers.

Mrs. Sapp had an enduring passion for music, dedicating over six decades to playing the piano and organ. She also served as a choir director, held various positions within her church, and spent 20 years imparting her piano expertise to many. In addition to her musical contributions, she served her community as a Cub Scout leader.

The funeral service for Delania Louise Stivers Sapp was held at Millersburg Methodist Church, the ceremony will take place at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday, February 10, 2024, officiated by Rev. David Dupree. Following the service, she will be laid to rest at Millersburg Cemetery with casket bearers and honorary bearers being Greg Shannon, David Willoughby, Teresa Vogel, DeLana VanMeter, Lane Grey, Don Stivers, Glenn Barlow, Sissy Stivers, Cliff Barlow, and Paul Sapp. Visitation will begin at 11:00 a.m. until time for the service.
