Richard A. Montgomery
Richard A. Montgomery age 75, of Liberty, KY, passed away on Thursday May 30th, 2024, at the U.K. Medical Center. He was born July 18th, 1948, in Chilton, KY, a son of the late Hubert and Alma Fights Montgomery.
Richard was a Land Surveyor, Engineer, was retired from the Kentucky Department of Highways, former Casey County Surveyor, Councilman for the City of Liberty, and was honored as a KY Surveyor of the year 2012 and 2014.
Survivors include: his spouse: Connie Elmore Montgomery, two daughters: Dr. Erica Montgomery Turner and (Dr. Michael Turner) of Liberty, and Sami Montgomery Wilson and (G. Davis Wilson) of Paris, four grandchildren: Guy Michael Turner, Ramsie Kate Turner, Samuel Speakes Wilson and Barrett Montgomery Wilson and one brother: Rande and (Erin) Montgomery of Shambaugh, IA.
Preceding him in death besides his parents was one sister: Margaret Ellen Foster.
Visitation was held 6:00 P.M. till 9:00 P.M. Sunday June 2nd, 2024, at Bartle Funeral Home Chapel and after 11:00 A.M. on Monday June 3rd, 2024, at Liberty United Methodist Church. Funeral Services were held 1:00 P.M. Monday June 3rd, 2024, at Liberty United Methodist Church. Dr.. Barclay T. Brown officiating. Burial was in the Glenwood Cemetery.
