Linda Sue Woodward McCarty

Linda Sue Woodward McCarty, age 82, wife of 63 years to Wilburn Clay McCarty, died Sunday, April 27, 2025 at University of Kentucky Medical Center. She was born August 13, 1942 in Bourbon County, daughter of the late John G. and Ruth Elizabeth Eads Woodward. Linda was a graduate of Bourbon County High School and Fugazzi Business School, was a retired insurance adjuster, and member of Bluegrass Claims Association and Southland Christian Church.
She is survived by her husband, Wilburn Clay McCarty; a daughter, Karen (Dan) Donovan; three granddaughters, Danielle (Michael) Watts, Karley (Brandon) Boggs, Katelyn (Noah) Jordan, three great grandchildren, Reese Watts, Beau Watts, Colton Boggs; and a niece, Samantha (Justin) Brown. Linda was preceded in death by a son, John Clay McCarty; and two sisters, Phyllis Ann Reed and Rebecca Ruth Roy.
Visitation will be Thursday, May 1, 2025 at the Hinton-Turner Funeral Home from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Funeral services will be 10:00 a.m. Friday, May 2, 2025 at the funeral home with Rev. William Garr officiating. Interment will be in the Paris Cemetery. Casket bearers will be Noah Jordan, Michael Watts, Brandon Boggs, Robbie McCarty, Richard Eads, and Gene Roy.
