Iva Christine Hash

Iva Christine Hash, 95, of Paris, Kentucky, passed away peacefully on September 28, 2025. Born in Lewis County, Kentucky, she was the daughter of Orville Lee and Olive Gertrude Gill. She leaves behind an incredible legacy of love and care for her family.
Affectionately known as “Mamaw,” Christine was preceded in death by her husband of 75 years, Joshua (J.C.) Hash, her daughter, Peggy Pendleton, and her siblings: Marlon Gill, Morris Key Gill, Mary Lee Sambol and Wanda Roberts.
She is survived by two children, Cathy (Jim) Toadvine and Scott (Janice) Hash. Christine was also blessed with 7 grandchildren: Todd (Gina) Pendleton, Phillip (Alissa) Pendleton, Joshua (Vanessa) Bobbitt, Justin (Jacqueline) Bobbitt, Christopher (Mary Jean) Pendleton, Eric (Mollie) Hash, and Christina (Tyler) Dickinson. She was further blessed with 16 great-grandchildren. Her legacy will live on in the multiple grandchildren and great-grandchildren who were named after her.
Christine retired from Blue Grass Army Depot and was a longtime member of Central Baptist Church in Paris, Kentucky. She will be remembered for her infectious laughter, love of reading, knitting, crocheting, and her unwavering devotion to her family.
Above all, Christine showed her love by feeding her family. She leaves behind a collection of treasured recipes and a long life of cherished memories that will live on in the heart of her family.
Visitation will be 11:00 a.m. Thursday, October 2, 2025, at the Hinton-Turner Funeral Home followed by funeral service at 1:00 p.m. with Rev. Dan Russell officiating. Interment will be in Evergreen Memory Gardens, and her grandsons will serve as casket bearers.
