Claude Thomas Tubbs

Claude Thomas Tubbs, 94, widower of Lillie Brooks Tubbs, departed this life Thursday, March 13, 2026, at the UK Albert B. Chandler Hospital in Lexington. He was born in Paris on August 22, 1932 to the late Leonard John and Gladys Barbee Tubbs. Claude was a veteran of the United States Army, attended Central Baptist Church for over 50 years, and was a longtime employee of both Bourbon Lumber and Clark Equipment. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a daughter, Claudia Gardner; a son, Dwayne Tubbs; and a brother, Clyde Tubbs.
Claude is survived by a daughter and son-in-law, Patricia and Roy Scott; a son and daughter-in-law, Michael and Anne Tubbs; two brothers, William Eugene Tubbs, Owen Tubbs; sister, Pauline Collins; ten grandchildren; eighteen great grandchildren; six great, great grandchildren; and special daughter-in-law, Sharon Davidson.
Visitation was 10:00 a.m. Tuesday, March 17, at the Hinton-Turner Funeral Home followed by a funeral service at 12:00 noon with Rev. Jonathan Graves officiating. Interment was in the Paris Cemetery.
