John A. Santos

John A. Santos, 80, of Winchester, passed away peacefully at his home on Oct. 29, 2026. Born Jan. 8, 1946, in Gary, Indiana, to the late Robert and Genevieve Mayer, he was a proud graduate of Calumet High School.
John honorably served his country, retiring from the U.S. Army after 24 years of dedicated military service. He was a loving husband, father, brother, uncle and loyal friend known for his quiet strength and devotion to family.
He is survived by his beloved wife, Brenda Joyce Banta Santos; his daughter, Tineke (Mike) Donian; two sons, John (Holly) Santos and Robert Santos; two stepsons, Rodney (Ann) Gilven and Michael (Rebecca) Gilvin; his brother, Robert (Yolanda) Santos; his sister, LuAnn Rodriguez; and many cherished grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Visitation was at 11 a.m. Tuesday, Nov. 3, 2026, at the Hinton-Turner Funeral Home, 526 Pleasant St., Paris. Funeral services followed at 1 p.m. with Celebrant Sharon Berry officiating.
