Larry Duane Reed

Larry Duane Reed, 76, husband of the late Kimberly Ann Holleran Reed, died Sunday, March 3, 2024, at the University of Kentucky Medical Center, Lexington, KY.

Born in Paris, KY, he was the son of the late Carl Lewis Reed and Betty Mitchell Reed. Larry retired from Toyota Motor Manufacturing of Kentucky and was currently working at Dillon Tax Services as a tax preparer. He was a veteran of the Army and was in the 101st Airborne. He loved going to auctions and yard sales to resell items and was an avid UK basketball and football fan.

He is survived by four children, Larry (Jennifer) Reed Jr., Heather (Ben) Beamon, Kim Jolly, Chris (Kassie) Reed; fifteen grandchildren, Justin Stanfield, Alyssa Perreault, Dakota Jolly, Kiara Bolling, Brandon Reed, Kylie Reed, Kinley Reed, Jake Reed, Karalynn Reed, Jordan Beamon, Austin Beamon, Gavin Beamon, Ayla Reed, Spencer Reed, Loretta Reed; eight great grandchildren and several nieces’ nephews and cousins.

In addition to his wife and parents he is preceded in death by one sister, Carolyn Tillery.

Funeral services was conducted at 1:00 PM Thursday, March 7, 2024, at the Lusk-McFarland funeral home chapel, 1120 Main Street, Paris, KY by Brother William Brown. Burial was in Paris Cemetery.

Visitation was from 5-8 PM Wednesday, March 6, 2024, at the funeral home.

Pallbearers were Justin Stanfield, Dakota Jolly, Brandon Reed, Jake Reed, Jordan Beamon, Austin Beamon, Gavin Beamon.

Honorary pallbearer was Spencer Reed.

The funeral arrangements were entrusted to the Lusk-McFarland Funeral Home, 1120 Main Street, Paris, KY.
