Paul Wayne Browning
Paul Wayne Browning, husband of the late Reba Boggs Browning of Paris, Kentucky, departed this life on Thursday, April 11, 2024, at home, with his daughter-in-law and support from Amedisys Hospice of Lexington, South Carolina. Paul was born in Harrison County, Kentucky on April 4, 1936, the son of the late William and Christine Browning. As a young man, he worked on his dad’s farm. Paul was a veteran of the United States Navy, an insurance agent, and retired from IBM. He owned Browning’s Outdoor Power Equipment and co-owned Browning’s Country Hams with his wife, Reba. Paul enjoyed fishing and small-game hunting. He was a founding member and attended Bedford Acres Christian Church, and they were glad he wasn’t in the choir. While in South Carolina, Paul attended Calvary Chapel. He was also a Mason of good standing at Paris Lodge #2 F&AM. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Reba, and grandson, Timothy William Browning (Lisa Browning Golden).
Paul is survived by his son, Gregory (Gwen), his grandchildren Tamara Frye and Jason Walker, Sr. Great grandchildren Jason Walker, Jr. (Lori), Alexis Walker, Mathew Frye, Christopher Frye, Emma Browning, William Browning, and Shiloh Golden. Great, great grandchildren, Aria Walker and Emery Walker. As well as many other family members.
Visitation for Paul Wayne Browning will begin at 11:30 a.m. on Monday, April 22, 2024 at Hinton-Turner Funeral Home, with the funeral to begin at 1:00 p.m. with Pastor Dean Scott officiating. Immediately followed by interment at Paris Cemetery with pallbearers being Henry North and brothers from Paris Lodge #2 F&AM.
