Anna Francis Jones Wells

Anna Francis Jones Wells, 88, left this world to meet her Lord and Savior on May 27, 2024, surrounded by her beloved family.

Francis, as she was known to her loved ones, was preceded in death by her beloved parents, Nellie and Omar Jones, her youngest daughter, Kathy Darlene Wells Smith, and her only sister, Alma Pearl (Paul) Sponcil.

Francis is survived by her daughter, Peggy Ann Wells (Bill) Watson; four grandchildren, Matt (Julie) Watson, Megan (Bo) Davidson, Jaclyn Smith Cameron, and Samantha (Philip) Johnson; seven great grandchildren, Grace Watson, Jason Watson, Logan Davidson, Libbie Davidson, Jaxson Johnson, Naomi Johnson, Damien Cameron; and countless nieces, nephews, cousins, friends, and family.

Francis was a diligent employee of Kentucky Textiles for over twenty-five years. She touched the lives of many people in her community, leaving a positive impact on countless lives. A lover of travel, she lived her life doing things she loved with those she loved most.

Francis will be carried to her final resting place by Matt Watson, Bo Davidson, Logan Davidson, John Watson, Philip Johnson, and Samantha Johnson and will be laid to rest on Friday, May 31, 2024, in Paris cemetery next to her youngest child, Darlene. Her honorary bearers are Larry Sponcil and Mike Sponcil. Visitation will be at 11:00 a.m. prior to the service, which will be at 1:00 p.m. at Hinton-Turner Funeral Home with Rev. David Mefford officiating.
