Ronnie Ray Lemons: A Life Filled with Music, Passion, and Faith (1950-2024) – Ronnie Ray Lemons, a beloved Father to Jade and Seth, Grandfather, friend and gifted musician, passed away at home on October 10, 2024, at the age of 74.
Born in Cynthiana, Kentucky, on September 23, 1950, to Carlos and Nettie May Lemons, Ron was the youngest of four siblings. He spent his early years in Kentucky before venturing to Roswell, Georgia, in the late 1970s to pursue a career in the ever-evolving telephone and communications industry. There, he established himself as an innovator, earning recognition from his peers throughout his tenure. Ron retired home to Cynthiana in 2012.
Beyond his professional accomplishments, Ron was a man of boundless curiosity and passion. His love for music and guitar was known by all that knew him. He soared through the skies as a private pilot, fueled by his love of aviation. His musical side shone through his skilled guitar playing, while his commitment to genealogy unveiled the rich tapestry of his family history. Most importantly, Ron was a friend to all. His kind and compassionate nature drew people in, and he cherished the many connections he made. His unwavering faith in Christian values guided him throughout his life, leaving a lasting impression on those who knew him.
Ron leaves behind a legacy of love and inspiration. He is survived by his Son Seth; Sister Carline Lemons; his cherished grandchildren, Guinevere Lee, Jude Adrian, and Owen Uriah. He was an uncle to Karen Faulconer, Lisa Reed, Julie Richards, Eric Brown, Carla Brown, Peter Brown, and Jason Brown, as well as his extended family in Harrison and Bourbon Counties.
He was predeceased by his dearest son, Jade Uriah Lemons, sisters Yvonne Kondellis and Patsy Tildsey, and nephews Jason Whalin and Eric Brown.
A memorial service will be held on December 4th at 12:00 PM at Battle Grove Cemetery.
Following the graveside service, The Lemons family invites family, friends, and guests to gather at The Elks Lodge in Cynthiana.
