Marion Snapp Jr.

Marion Snapp Jr., (Papa Snapp, Snapper) age 80, of Paris, Kentucky, went to be with Jesus on Wednesday, January 1, 2025. Marion was born in Carlisle, Kentucky on September 17, 1944. The son of the late Marion Snapp and Geneva Mattox Snapp.
He is survived by his wife of 56 years, Elaine Wagoner Snapp, his son, Travis Snapp, his daughter Natasha Downs, His son-in-law, Dustin Downs and two step-granddaughters, Hannah and Haylie Downs. Marion was the oldest of five children. Along with his parents, he was preceded in death by his younger brother, Charles Snapp (Brenda Mundt). He is survived by his younger three sisters, Linda (Gene) Hyatt, Wanda Gaunce, and Mary Walls.
He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews. Marion was an employee of Stamler Corporation in Millersburg, Kentucky for over 40 years. He served as a Pastor in the United Methodist Church for 41 years in Bourbon, Fleming, Nicholas and Mason counties. Marion loved the Kentucky Wildcats and the Cincinnati Bengals and his Westerns on Saturday. He loved Peanut Butter, Potato Chips, Pickles, Payday candy bars, Diet Pepsi and Ale-8.
There will be a memorial service held at a time to be later determined.
