Ronald Wayne Powell

Ronald Wayne Powell, aged 60, of Paris, Kentucky, passed away on January 7th, 2025, in Lexington, Kentucky, leaving behind a legacy of love and cherished memories. A proud Parisian by birth, Ronald, was born on June 14th, 1964, to Mary Ann Sanders and the late Robbie Powell. His light shone brightly as a dedicated father to Christopher Powell (Angela Hall) and Danielle (Richard) Morgan. Ronald, a Paris High School graduate, spent his career on the road as a truck driver, a role that kept him connected to the vast country that he adored. Outside of work, his passion for sports, particularly his support for the Indianapolis Colts, was unwavering and brought him much joy and excitement. He is survived by a loving family that includes his mother, Mary Ann (Jerry) Sanders; brother, Brian (Marilyn) Powell; aunt, Carolyn (Leonard) Shanks; uncle, Wayne Christopher; and sissy, Marie Christopher. His father, Robbie Powell; grandfather, Royce Christopher; grandmother, Elma Jean Henrey; and aunt, Judy Christopher, preceded him in death. Ronald’s indomitable spirit and heartfelt laughter will be deeply missed by all who knew him. His memory will continue to inspire us always.
Funeral services will conduct at 7:00 PM Tuesday January 14, 2025, at the Lusk-McFarland Funeral Home Chapel, 1120 Main St., Paris, KY. Visitation is at 5:00 PM Tuesday January 14, 2025, until the hour of service at the funeral home.
