Barbara James Well

Barbara James Wells, age 89, widow of Donald Nelson Wells, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, January 15, 2025. She was born March 19, 1935 in Paris, daughter of the late John and Stella Taylor James. Barbara was a 1953 graduate of Paris High School and retired from the Paris Housing Authority after 32 years of service.
Barbara is survived by four children, David (Ranetta) Wells, Darryl (Shannon) Wells, Donald (Kari) Wells, Suzannah (Tony) Asbury; grandchildren, Adam (Jami) Wells, Alex (Sara) Wells, Matt Wells, Lindsay Wells, Jacob Wells, Christopher Wells, Samantha Wells, Taylor Wells, Josh Asbury, Aubrey Asbury; great grandchildren, Khloe Upton, Mattox Shelby, Chandler Wells, Harper Wells, Maris Wells; and nieces and nephews, Jenny Luttrell, Tracy Urian, and Holly Lewis, Elizabeth Jones, Mark Wells, Jo Lynn Linville, Michael Wells, and Eddie Wells. In addition to her parents and husband, Barbara was preceded in death by a sister, Elinor Corcella.
Services for Barbara Wells will be graveside for family and friends. Her grandchildren will serve as casket bearers. www.hintonturner.com
