Anna Jean Goin

Anna Jean Goin, of Paris, departed this life January 30, 2025 at Signature HealthCare of Georgetown at the age of 88. Anna Jean was born in Bourbon County on January 29, 1937, daughter of the late Oliver and Minerva Haggard Blackwell and was a graduate of North Middletown High School. She retired from J.C. Penney’s and volunteered for over 20 years at Bourbon Heights in the cafeteria. In her spare time, she enjoyed reading romance novels and working crossword puzzles. She was a member of Clintonville Christian Church where she served as Deacon and enjoyed singing in the choir. Anna Jean was a member of Willing Works and Disciples Women’s Ministry.
In addition to her parents, Anna Jean was preceded in death by a brother, James Blackwell. She is survived by a niece, Elizabeth Luanne (Carl) Rogers; a step-niece, Kellie McDaniel; and a special friend, Joyce Willoughby.
A memorial service will be held on February 15, 2025 at Clintonville Christian Church at 2:00 p.m. with Rev. Chuck Kemp officiating followed by the scattering of ashes.
