Susan Alice Neal Beymer

On January 25th, 2025 Susan Alice Neal Beymer, 74, left us to be with our Lord. Susan was in hospice care in Bradenton Florida. ,Born in Lexington Kentucky on June 17th 1950, she was the firstborn of Powell and Lucille (Swope) Neal of Carlisle, KY. A younger sister, Mary Evelyn Neal, died 2000.
Susan was married to George W Beymer for eight years until his death in 1994. She is survived by her stepson Chris Beymer and his family as well as many cousins and friends.
A graduate of Nicholas County High School, Carlisle Kentucky, and she attended Eastern Kentucky University in Richmond, Kentucky. She worked for the University of Kentucky for 10 years before moving on to the VA Hospital for 20 years. A very talented florist, she worked part time assisting various floral shops as well as designing and creating beautiful arrangements for family and friends.
Susan was a member of the SandSpring Baptist Church in Lawrenceburg Kentucky and attended FBCP in Palmetto Florida where she was a resident for six years..
She was the last of the Neal family of Carlisle. Susan passed at 1:55 p.m. in the arms of Wesley McCarty, her life partner and true soulmate for 27 years. She will be truly missed by all who knew and loved her. Susan chose cremation and following her wishes, there will be a graveside service at a later date.
