Garnett Parke
Garnett Parke of Red House, Kentucky, passed away February 26, surrounded by loved ones. A lifelong resident of Madison County, he was the son of the late Ira Timothy and Amanda Turpin Parke. He was the widower of Billye Rae Turpin Parke. He was devoted to Red House Baptist Church where he attended 91 years. Serving as a Deacon and Sunday School Teacher for the Junior Boys and the Men’s classes.
He is survived by his loving family: three sons and one daughter: Mike (Glenda), Doug (Debbie), Francette Durbin (Gary – Deceased), and Keith (Betty); grandchildren: Phillip Parke (Amie), Christina Thomas (Roger), Holli Hatmaker (Drew), Amanda Rydberg, Neil Durbin (Kara) and Lee Parke (Victoria); great-grandchildren: Whitney Thomas (Devin), Emily Combs (Zack) and Luke Thomas, Grace Katherine Rydberg, Logan, Hallie Mae and Cale Parke. Great-great grandchildren: Bentley Thomas, Knox Andrew and Breck Hamilton Hatmaker, Bennett Rae and Charleston Vic Parke. He was eagerly awaiting the arrival of great-great-grandbaby Lily Rae Combs in April.
Garnett will be remembered for his love of the Lord, his family and friends near and far. He enjoyed a good celebration, family, school and military reunions. He was a Veteran in the Army of the 101st Airborne Division and was a gun toting, flag bearing, proud American.
He loved serving people through his Whitehall Texaco Service Station and Parke Farm Equipment. But he was well known for serving those in need.

Funeral Services will be held at 11:00 A.M. Saturday, March 8th at the Red House Baptist Church, 2301 Red House Road, with Rev. Dwayne Abrahamson Officiating. Interment will be in the Parke Family Cemetery.
Visitation will be from 3-8 P.M. Friday, March 7th, at the church.
Pallbearers will be: Phillip Parke, Neil Durbin, Drew Hatmaker, Roger Thomas, Lee Parke, Paul Johnson, Wayne Long and Matt Jones.
