Ronald “Ronnie” “Ron” Lee Eads

Ronald “Ronnie” “Ron” Lee Eads, a cherished husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, brother, and friend, passed away peacefully on March 18, 2025, in Cynthiana, KY, at the age of 78. Born on June 30, 1946, in Paris, KY, Ronnie was a man whose laughter and generosity enriched the lives of all who knew him.
Ronnie was a retired employee of IBM where he worked as a technical design specialist in the tool and die department. He was a former president of the Central Kentucky Antique Machinery Association, member of the Paris City Club, and a member of the Paris Methodist Church. Ron had several hobbies that he enjoyed including metal art ,and collecting and restoring old tractors. His passion was reading, He was rarely caught without a book in his hand.
He shared a beautiful life with his loving wife of 60 years, Paulette Hull Eads, and together they raised two wonderful children, Jenny (James) Arnold and Brian (Shannon) Eads. Ronnie’s joy was multiplied with the arrival of his granddaughters, Olivia Link and Molly Arnold, and great-grandson, Phoenix Arnold. Other survivors include his sister, Debbie Finley, and his extended family, including nephews Holton Eads, Casey King, Cary (Brooke) King, and nieces Blair Eads and Marijohn Lehmann , along with his sister-in-law, Betty Eads, sister-in-law, Cissy King and brother-in-law, Monte King and numerous cousins.
Ronnie was preceded in death by his parents, John F. Eads and Josephine Biddle Eads, his grandson Hunter Arnold, daughter-in-law Debbie Eads, and his brothers Lyle Eads and Joe Larry Eads; brother-in-law, Terry Finley and sister-in-law, Judy Eads. His absence will be deeply felt, but the legacy of his warmth and kindness will live on.
A memorial service was conducted at 7:00 PM Tuesday March 25, 2025, by Bro. Dave Mefford at the Lusk-McFarland Funeral Home Chapel, 1120 Main St., Paris, KY. Visitation was from 5:00 PM until the hour of service at the funeral home.
Memorials may take the form of contributions to the Alzheimer’s Association, 2808 Palumbo Dr. #205, Lexington, KY 40509.
