Betty Jo Collins Garrison

Betty Jo Collins Garrison, age 97, widow of Leonard S. Garrison, died Wednesday, April 23, 2025 at her residence. She was born September 24, 1927 in Bourbon County, daughter of the late Thomas Talbott and Lucille Harp Collins. Betty Jo was a graduate of Clintonville High School and was a member of First Christian Church (Disciples of Christ) where she belonged to the Tinder Harris Circle and had taught Sunday School for 46 years.
In addition to her parents and husband, Betty Jo was preceded in death by a son, Joseph Lynn “Joey” Garrison and a brother, Roy Frank Collins.
Visitation was 10:00 a.m. Monday, April 28, 2025 at the First Christian Church (Disciples of Christ) followed by a funeral service at 12:00 Noon with Rev. Sharon Fields and Rev. Jeff Bell officiating. Casket bearers were Theron Stephens, Gregory Hutchison, Harry Callebs, Joe Jones, Forrest Jackson, and Jim Lovell. Interment was in the Paris Cemetery. Memorials are suggested to the Joseph Lynn Garrison Memorial Scholarship Fund, Paris Animal Welfare Society (PAWS), or one’s favorite charity.
