Kitty Lucky Brown

Kitty Lucky Brown, age 71, widow of Ronald Dean Brown, departed this life on Wednesday, May 7, 2025, at Baptist Health in Lexington, KY. Kitty was born in Paris, Kentucky on February 7, 1954, the daughter of the late Robert and Helen Youngman Lucky, a graduate of Paris High School, and received her master’s degree in teaching from Eastern Kentucky University and retired after 30 years of teaching elementary education in the Paris school system. She had a passion for teaching and loved each child that she was honored to have in her classroom. After retiring from teaching, she furthered her career by working as the office secretary for Dr. Kenneth Brodsky, was an alumnus of the Citizen’s Police Academy, and a member of Paris First Methodist Church.
Surviving is a brother, Robert G.A. “Bobby” Lucky, as well as several aunts, uncles, and cousins.
The funeral service for Kitty Lucky Brown was at 1:00 p.m. on Monday, May 12, 2025, at Hinton-Turner Funeral Home with Rev. Jerri Williams officiating. Interment followed in Paris cemetery with casket bearers being Waye Kendall, Wade Eads, David Smits, Mike Langfels, and Barry Barnes. Honorary bearers were John Robin Smits, Ernie Lucky, Sandra Berry, Marlene Langfels, Johnny Bussell, Larry Klinefeltner, Travis Smits, Dr. Kenneth Brodsky, and Dr. Kent Davis.
