James Glendon Sparks

James Glendon Sparks, 90, husband of Judy Bowsher Sparks, died Saturday, May 10, 2025 at his home in Lexington, KY.
A native of Connersville, Indiana, he was the son of the late Soloman David and Florence Sparks. He honorably served his country in the United States Navy for 6 years. Following his military service, he built a successful 30-year career as a salesman with Quantrell Cadillac in Lexington, Kentucky, before retiring.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by two sons, James Glendon (Jane) Alexander and Mark A. (Callie) Sparks; two daughters, Jennifer Emanuel (John Hodge) and Dani A. Sparks (James Jackson); one daughter-in-law, Debbie Sparks; nine grandchildren, Kristopher (Neely) Alexander, Evan (Jennifer) Alexander, Mark A. Sparks, Chloe Sparks, Chelsea Sparks, Kaitlyn Emanuel, Riley Emanuel, Tristan Emanuel, and Christopher Constance; four great grandchildren, Sawyer, Sienna, Riah, Brynleigh and one sister, Carol Janice Jones.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by one son, Kent Sparks.
A private ceremony to honor his life will be held at a later date, with details to be shared with family.
