Juan Antonio Dominguez Galvin

Juan Antonio Dominguez Galvin, aged 53, passed away peacefully on June 3, 2025, in Lexington, KY, far from his birthplace of Tetillas, Mexico, where he first saw the light of day on April 11, 1972. Juan’s life was characterized by his unwavering spirit, deep-rooted family values, and a remarkable career in the horse racing industry that touched the lives of many.
Juan was preceded in death by his loving mother, Flora Galvin Silva; his father, Manuel Dominguez; and his brother, Victor Manuel Dominguez Galvan. Despite these profound losses, Juan’s legacy continues through his siblings: Rosy, Gena, Angela, Isabel, Felipe, Maria del Socorro, Soila, and Janet Dominguez Galvin, all of whom he shared an unbreakable bond with and who will miss him dearly.
Growing up in a large and vibrant family, Juan learned the importance of kinship and hard work early on. These values served him well as he embarked on a career that would become his passion. His dedication to the horse racing industry was evident in every aspect of his work, from the care he provided to the majestic animals to the camaraderie he shared with his colleagues. Juan’s contributions to the industry were not just about the roles he filled; they were about the relationships he built and the lives he enriched.
In the community, Juan was known for his infectious smile, his willingness to lend a hand, and his expertise which he generously shared with anyone interested in the sport of kings. His presence at the track was a constant, and his absence will be felt by all who knew him, from the stable hands to the highest echelons of the racing world.
Juan Antonio Dominguez Galvin lived a life full of purpose and joy. His memory will be cherished and kept alive through the stories told, the races won, and the love he gave. As the sun sets on his final post, we bid farewell to a remarkable man whose race was run with honor, integrity, and an enduring love for his family and his calling.
