Herbert Theodore “Ted” Hill
Herbert Theodore “Ted” Hill, 87, formerly of Millersburg, husband of the late Charlene Stumph Hill, passed away Monday, June 2, 2025 in Annapolis, Maryland.
Born October 6, 1937 in Harrison County to the late Herbert and Lois Mitchell Hill, he was a retired U.S. Army veteran, having served 23 years at Ft. Chaffee (Arkansas) and then in the Army Reserves. Upon Army retirement Ted then went in to the ministry, serving at the Cynthiana First Church of God. He also enjoyed being involved with the YMCA.
Surviving are three children: Victoria (Eric) Ward of Annapolis, Maryland, Mike (Liese) Hill of Emporia, Kansas and Jeff (Bobbie) Hill of Union City, Indiana; six grandchildren: Jim Ward, Jason Ward, Jackie Ward Primiano, Jessie Brooks, Jennie Crook and Linda Jo Morris; 13 great-grandchildren: Avalie, Emmie and Reece Brooks, Shane, Kody and Damon Anderson, Harper Crook, Grayson Morris, Frederick and Trudy Ward, Kieran and Lane Ward, and Elliott Primiano; a sister, Janice Sosby; and a brother, Hank Hill.
Also preceding him in death was a granddaughter, Amber Hill.
Services will be 11:00 A.M. Friday, June 13th at Drake-Whaley-McCarty Funeral Home, Cynthiana, KY. Burial with military honors will be in the Kentucky Veterans Cemetery North, Williamstown.
Ted’s grandchildren will serve as casketbearers.
Honorary bearers will be Hank Hill and his sons.
Visitation will be after 6:00 P.M. Thursday at Drake-Whaley-McCarty Funeral Home, 112 N. Walnut St., Cynthiana, KY.
