Virginia Florence Alexander
Virginia Florence Alexander, age 82, passed away July 7, 2025. Born January 6, 1943, to the late Wilford Leonard Florence and Wilma Catherine Parker Florence, she was preceded in death by her brother, Terry Lee Florence.
Virginia enjoyed spoiling her family, rug hooking with friends, cooking amazing meals, and loved to read mystery novels.
Virginia is survived by her spouse, Jim Alexander; children, Beverly Alexander Olert, Jamie Smith (spouse Randy Smith), and Alex Alexander (spouse Candace Alexander). Also surviving are her grandchildren, James Olert (spouse Rachel), Amanda Nester (spouse Dylan Nester), and a great granddaughter, Natalie Dawn Nester. She is also survived by a brother, Leonard “Buddy” Florence (spouse Linda), and their three beloved nieces and their families.
There will be a private graveside burial in the Clintonville cemetery at Virginia’s request.
To Virginia’s family,
I knew Virginia for 64 yrs. We shared driving responsibilities taking our oldest children to kindergarten. She has always been one of my favorite people. I particularly admired her strong convictions. She will be sorely missed missed.
