Otis John “O.J.” Ballard

Otis John “O.J.” Ballard, widower of the late Amy Lou Mitchell Ballard, died Saturday November 30, 2019 at the University of Kentucky Medical Center, Lexington, KY.
A native of Irvine, KY, he was the son of the late Art and Millie Spicer Ballard.
Survivors include, three children, Margie Kay (Paul) Hoskins, Sammie Jo (Jimmy Bentz) Ballard and Amanda Gail (Ian Medley); eight grandchildren, Whitney Ballard, Sahara Campbell, Sarina Campbell, Ethan Medley, Hunter Medley, Levi Hoskins, Abigail Hoskins and Paul Wendell Hoskins; five brothers, T.J Ballard, Melvin Ballard, Lewis Ballard, Walter Ballard and Travis Ballard; five sisters, Rose Dray, Emma (Bobby Johnson) Ballard, Martha (Tony) Dray, Mary Turpin and Linda (David) Evans and several nieces, nephews and cousins.
In addition to his wife and parents, he was also preceded in death by one grandson, Nathan Howard and one brother, Todd Ballard.
Funeral services will be conducted at 11:00 AM Thursday December 5, 2019 at the Lusk-McFarland Funeral Home, 1120 Main St., Paris, KY by Bro. Farley Holder.  Burial will be in the Paris Cemetery.
Visitation was from 5-8PM Wednesday December 4, 2019 at the funeral home.
Pallbearers will be Sam Campbell, Paul David Hoskins, Ian Medley, Gary Rowland, Bobby Johnson, Brandon Tubbs and Jimmy Bentz.
Honorary pallbearers will be Paul Wendell Hoskins, Steve Dray, Travis Ballard and T.J. Ballard.
The funeral arrangements were entrusted to the Lusk-McFarland Funeral Home, 1120 Main St. Paris, KY 40361.
