William Bennett “Bill” Bradford, Sr.

William Bennett “Bill” Bradford, Sr., of Paris, husband of Beth Bonnette Bradford, departed this life unexpectedly, on Saturday, July 31, 2021, at Bourbon Community Hospital, having attained the age of 74 years. Bill was born in Lawrence, KS, on October 3, 1946, the son of the late Henry Victor and Eileen Sipple Bradford, attended Paris High School, a graduate of Baylor Prep School in Chattanooga, TN, attended both the University of Kentucky and Morehead State University. He was a member of Grace Fellowship Church in Lexington and active in the Christian Men’s Fellowship of North Middletown Christian Church; Bourbon Street Cruisers; Superintendent of North Middletown Cemetery for over twenty years; a volunteer for Paris High School Band; and a Kentucky Colonel. Bill was the former owner of Bradford’s Ashland in Paris and Bradford’s Service Center in North Middletown. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a daughter, Laura Miles Bradford, and sister, Vicki Moon.

In addition to his wife Beth, he is survived by children, William Bennett “Brad” (Beth Ann) Bradford, Jr., Tori Bradford (Brian) Menke, Byron Maxwell (Courtney) Bradford, Frank Bradford, and Shelby Bennett Bradford; grandchildren, William Bennett (Kristin) Bradford, III, Kyle Howard Bradford, Shelby Powell, Amanda Fryman, Bobby (Rachael) Powell, Will Thompson, Blaine (Logan) Astrike, Keller (Cami) Fields, Bailey (Clay) Hampton, Reese Menke, Isabella Kingsland, and Victor Bradford.   Also surviving are eight great grandchildren; his former wife, Sherry Pulliam Hughes; and a special dog, Bandie.

The funeral service for William Bennett “Bill” Bradford, Sr., will be at 2:00 p.m., on Friday, August 6, 2021, at Hinton-Turner Funeral Home with Pastor Jim Schreiner and Rev. Stephanie Moon officiating. Visitation will be from 11:00 a.m., until time for the service. Casket bearers are Brett Caddell, Greg Barnett, David Fryman, Tully Williams, David Bowman, Richard LeMieux, James Nelson Sumpter, and Lowell Maybrier. Honorary bearers are members of the Paris High School Class of 1964 and North Middletown Cemetery Board.
