Carol C. Richardson Mattox
Carol C. Richardson Mattox, 77, wife of Johnny Mattox, died Thursday December 29, 2022 at the Bourbon Community Hospital, Paris, KY.
She was born in Irvine, KY to the late Eli and Golden Stamper Richardson. She was a former employee of Ken’s Supermarket Deli, Smit’s Greenhouse and retired from Kentucky Textiles. Carol enjoyed crafts and really loved flowers and flower gardening.
In addition to her husband she is survived by three daughters, Tammy (Mark) Minor, Tina (Keith Foley) Burden and Debbie Mattox; five grandchildren, Lauren (Mark) Gray, John (Steph) Crouch, Whitney (Daniel) Burton, Mason Burden and Makayla Minor; eight great grandchildren, Caiden, Landon, Adaleigh, Nash, Finn, Wade, Kyler and Baby Crouch; two sisters, Betty Jo Hook and Florence Yarnell and several nieces, nephews and cousins.
Carol was preceded in death by her parents, a great granddaughter, Kyla Kaiser; son-in-law, Terry Burden; two brothers, Eli Richardson and Clayton Richardson and four sisters, Carrie Jones, Cordelia St. Amant, Ollie Lou Tucker and Ruth Reinsmith.
Funeral services will be conducted at 1:00 PM Wednesday January 4, 2023 at the Lusk-McFarland Funeral Home 1120 Main St., by her granddaughter, Lauren Gray. Burial will follow in the Paris Cemetery.
Visitation will be from 11:00 AM Wednesday January 4, 2023 until the hour of service at the funeral home.
Pallbearers will be John Thomas Crouch, Mason Burden, Daniel Burton, Mark Gray, Caiden Patrick and Keith Foley.
Honorary pallbearers will be Scotty True and Doug McIlvain.
