Willie Eugene “Clark” Dale

Willie Eugene “Clark” Dale, Sr., 85 of Paris, KY, husband of 63 years to Vernetta Dale fell asleep in death on September 25, 2023, at the University of Louisville Jewish Hospital, Louisville, KY.  He was the son of the late Samuel and Lucille Baldwin Dale.  He was an employee for many years at Claiborne Farm, Hinkle Construction, and Paris Housing Authority.  He loved fishing, working in his shop, and spending time with his friends.

Besides his wife, he is survived by three sons, Willie Eugene (Brenda) Dale, Jr., Philip Lee Dale, Sr., and Kevin Wayne Dale, all of Paris, KY; two daughters, Valerie Renee Kenney of Paris, KY and Violet May Shearer of Lexington, KY; 17 grandchildren, 26 great-grandchildren, 1great great-grandchild; one sister-in-law, Jo Ann Black; one brother-in-law, Henry Turpin; numerous nieces and nephews, cousins, and friends, including Clifton Garrett, Ronald Brack, and Bert Warfield.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by five brothers, Andy, James, Jessie, Sam, and John Willie Dale; four sisters, Louella Cook, Nannie Mae Swiney, Mary Etta Dale, Pearlie Mae Harwell, and a special grandson, Kerry Douglas Kenney.

Funeral services will be conducted at 1:00 PM Monday, October 2, 2023, at the Lusk-McFarland Funeral Home, 1120 Main St., Paris, KY by Tony Collins.  Burial will be in the Evergreen Memory Gardens.

Visitation will be from 11:00 AM until the time of service on Monday, October 2, 2023, at the funeral home.

Pallbearers will be Jarrin Bishop, Navarro Nichols, D’Quez Jackson, Anthony Dale, Philip Dale, and Everett Shearer.

Honorary pallbearers will be Joe Frye, Michael Dale, Thomas Boyd, Sawyer Dale, and Austin Dale.
