Patsy Faye Harney Coons

Patsy Faye Harney Coons, age 90, widow of James Edward Coons Jr., died Wednesday, October 18,2023 at Baptist Health Hospital in Lexington. She was born November 11,1932 in Paris, daughter of the late Dee and Betty Florence Harney. Patsy was a 1950 graduate of Paris High School, member of the Church of the Annunciation, former member of Shrine of Our Lady of Guadelupe, Carlisle, and the First Methodist Church of Paris. She retired as a clerk with the Bourbon County District Court.

She is survived by a son, Gregory Dee (Dawn) Coons; grandchildren:, Lauren Coons (Henry) Holt, Byron Joseph Coons, Scott David Coons, Siena Catherine Coons, Megan Bussell (Shane) Mattox, Emma Kate Bussell (Andrew Steele), Brandon Dee (MaKenzie) Coons, James Courtney Coons and Maria Lee Duvall; great grandchildren: Riley Christine Bussell, Kennedy Shae Mattox, William David Mattox, Clara Constance Holt, Eli Gregory Holt, Joseph Henry Holt, Sebastian James Holt, Scout Remington Coons, Elijah KeShawn Duvall, Braylen Lee Duvall, Calen Thomas Duvall; sister, Billye Jo Pate (Chuck Eskrich); son-in-law, Bill (Trina) Bussell; daughter-in-law, Deborah (Chet) Coons; and nieces, nephews and friends.

In addition to her husband, Patsy was preceded in death by two daughters: Patricia Jo Coons, Trina Coons Bussell; a son, Chet David Coons; and a daughter-in-law, Sallie (Gregory) Coons.

Visitation will be held 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Tuesday, October 24,2023 at the Hinton-Turner Funeral Home with Rosary at 7:30 p.m. Mass of Christian Burial will be at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday, October 25,2023 at the Shrine of Our Lady of Guadalupe, Carlisle, KY, with Father Daniel Fister officiating.
