Donnie Ray “Jack” Jackson

Donnie Ray “Jack” Jackson, 75, of Millersburg, Kentucky, went to his heavenly home with his Savior and Lord Jesus Christ on Saturday, November 4, 2023. Born on July 17, 1948, in Millersburg to the late Earl Sr. and Margaret Jackson, he worked at the University of Kentucky as a supervisor in the grounds department for 33 years prior to retirement, while also farming cattle.

He was a devoted husband to Joyce Jackson, his wife of 30 years, a loving brother, and cherished uncle. For 30 years, he served as a trustee of Wesley Chapel CME Church in Carlisle, KY.

He is survived by his brother William K. Jackson (Lexington, KY), his sister Mary E. Jackson (Lexington, KY), and Priscilla E. Jackson (Cincinnati, OH), and sister-in-law Vickie S. Rogers (Winchester, KY); his beloved nephews and nieces Brian C. Simpson (Melissa) (Winchester, KY), Brandon D. Jones (Brooklyn, NY), and Sherry D. Jackson (Lexington, KY) and his special great nephews Brian G. Jackson (Lexington, KY) and Rylan M. Simpson (Winchester, KY), and great niece Breauna V. Simpson (Lexington, KY).

Pallbearers were Gregory O’Bannon, Jim Compton, James Compton, Derek Butler, and Lenny Russel.

Honorary Pallbearers were Harold Shannon, Daryl Kelly, Monte Wells, Ricky Crump and John Johnson.

Funeral Services will be conducted at 1:00 PM Saturday November 11, 2023, at Seventh Street Christian Church 122 W 7th Street, Paris, KY 40361 by Rev. William Garr and Rev. Arthur Williams.

Visitation is at 11:00 AM Saturday November 11, 2023, until the time of the service at the church.
