Margaret Phyllis Lynam Turner

Margaret Phyllis Lynam Turner, 79, widow of the late Roy F. Turner, died Sunday November 12, 2023, at Baptist Health, Lexington, KY.

She was born in Carlisle, KY to the late Holman Dudley Lynam and the late Minnie Louise Snapp Lynam. Margaret was a former employee of Hansley Mills, LexMark and the Bluegrass Army Depot. She was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of the Latter-Day Saints and an avid UK Basketball and Football fan. Her enjoyment came from spending time with family and doing whatever her children and grand children wanted to do, she loved Christmas time of the year and was a great cook.

Survivors include, three children, Lana Watkins, Edith (Lonnie) Schwab and John (Melissa) Turner; nine grandchildren, Amelia Howard, Kevin Watkins, Emily Stang, Ryan Schwab, Lindsay Burelson, Spencer Schwab, Quentin Schwab, Tessa Fuller and Royce Turner; fifteen great grandchildren; one sis, Alice Workman and several nieces, nephews and cousins.

In addition to her husband and parents, she was also preceded in death by three brothers, Avery Lynam, Garland Lynam and Kenneth Lynam; four sisters, Geneva Fuller, Edith Ventz, Bettye Sanders, and Mary Jane McLean.

Funeral services will be conducted at 1:00 PM Thursday November 16, 2023, at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, 920 Clintonville Rd., Paris, KY by Bishop William Denninghoff and Thomas Sunley. Burial will follow in the Paris Cemetery.

Visitation will be from 11:00 AM Thursday November 16, 2023, until the hour of service at the church.

Pallbearers will be Quentin Schwab, Howard Fuller, Frank Workman, Joe Workman, Jonathan Howard and Matthew Sunley.
