Billy Wayne Faris
Billy Wayne Faris, 83, passed away in Lexington, Kentucky on March 12, 2024.
Born in Flemingsburg, Kentucky to the late Mason and Gladys Faris on April 14, 1940, he was a graduate of Chaminade High School in Dayton, Ohio. Billy worked as a car salesman in Frankfort for over 50 years at Frankfort Auto Sales, Capital Cadillac, and Jeff Sachs. He was a sports enthusiast, especially all things UK, horse racing, and the Pittsburgh Pirates. But most of all he loved his family, especially his five grandchildren.
Billy is survived by his loving wife of 55 years, Murray Nichols Faris, along with his daughter Krista Faris Story and sons Kevin Faris (Amber) and Bill Faris (Bernadette). He is also survived by a brother, Nelson Faris (Linda); five grandchildren, Emma Story, Lauren Faris Long (Wes), Macie Faris, Harper Lee Faris, and Rhett Faris; as well as several nieces and nephews.
Other than his parents, Billy was recently preceded in death by his son-in-law, Larry Story.
A Funeral Mass was held in the Good Shepherd Catholic Church at 12:00 p.m. Saturday, March 16th, with visitation preceding at 10:00 a.m. A burial service followed in the Switzer Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks you to consider donations to the Good Shepherd Church building fund or St. Vincent de Paul Society.
