Robert (Bobby) Pierson Boyd

Robert (Bobby) Pierson Boyd, widow of the late Loretta Boyd of Moorefield passed away unexpectedly Saturday March 16, 2024, at the Bourbon County Hospital.

He was born on June 2, 1966, in Carlisle at the old Nicholas County Hospital, the son of the late Edgar P. and Ileen (Mullins) Boyd. Bobby was a graduate of Nicholas County High School. Following in his Father’s footsteps he joined the National Guard, serving our great nation for twenty years. Bobby never met a stranger; he would talk and laugh with everyone.

If you ever looked for him, you could find him at D J’s in Carlisle, working on some kind of motor, which he loved to do. Bobby loved to talk, and a great storyteller, a big laugh that was jolly and cheerful, he was such a joy to be around. Bobby was a gentle man with a heart of gold, if you knew him you loved him, he can never be replaced.

He will be truly missed by many, He leaves to cherish his memory, his Uncle Ronnie ( Holly) Mullins, Frankfort, Ky, Aunt Elsie (Mullins) Griffin Paris, Ky, Aunt Cindy ( Harold) Taylor, Lexington, Ky, Uncles: Robert (Joe) Mullins, Campbellsburg, William (Teresa) Mullins, Frankfort, Ky, Johnny ( Robin) Mullins, Paris, Ky, Mike ( Sally) Mullins, Paris, Ky, Special sister Sheena ( Alex) Brannon, Paris, Ky, Special sister Leni Ishmael, Paris, Ky, Special brother Gary ( Debbie) Ishmael, Carlisle, Ky, his cousin Jimmy Boyd, Frankfort, Ky, step-children Lacey (David) Frederick, Zack (Jackie) Brock, his special Grandson Keigon English, Zakaris Brock and Ivory Brock.

In addition to his parents and wife, he was preceded in death by Special Uncle Frankie and Aunt Mae Ishmael, he loved them and considered them his second parents, Grandparents James and Katherine (Ishmael) Mullins, Uncle James E. Mullins, special cousin Mike Bretz. Special Thank You to his family at the Carlisle National Guards for all their help and support.

Graveside services will be held on Saturday, April 6, 2024, at 2 pm at Crown Hill Cemetery with military honors Carlisle-Clark Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.
