Shirley Frances Sharp Bailey

Shirley Frances Sharp Bailey, widow of Marsh E. “Cotton” Bailey, departed this life on Thursday, April 11, 2024, at her home in Paris at the age of 86 years. Shirley was born in Scott County, Kentucky on October 18, 1937, the daughter of the late James S. and Naomi Reynolds Sharp, retired from Kentucky Textiles, having worked for thirty-five years as a line worker, ten years at Square D, and had also worked at the Dairy Queen. She enjoyed fishing, working puzzles, was a lifetime member of Weight Watchers, and a member of Silas Baptist Church. In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by her siblings, Lorena Arledge, Mildred Brown, Margaret Dray, Jack Sharp, Coly Sharp, Linda Garrison, Patricia Sharp, and a son-in-law, Jamie Stanfield.

Surviving is a daughter, Ida Bernice Stanfield; a son, Harvey Douglas (Rosemary) Bailey; five grandchildren, Kevin (Catherine) Stanfield, Kelly Stanfield, Kristen (Jason) Cox, Spencer (Casey) Bailey, and Alex Bailey. Also surviving are seven great grandchildren, Layla Cox Mila Cox, Marsh Bailey, Carl Bailey, Jean Bailey, Amelia Stanfield, Amadeus Neil; and a brother, Douglas (Barbara) Sharp.
