Floyd Hardwick Martin
Floyd Hardwick Martin, age 90 of North Middletown, departed this life on Sunday, April 28, 2024, at his home on Millersburg Road, surrounded by his loving family. Floyd was born on August 31, 1933, in Bourbon County, the son of Asa Floyd and Martha Clark Martin, was a high school graduate, served in the United States Army, and retired after thirty years of service with Bundy Tubing. He also worked for the Bourbon County Road department, North Middletown Water Plant, did small engine repair, and was a jack of all trades. He was a member of Spears Mill Baptist Church where he served as a deacon for sixty-six years. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his first wife, Barbara Jean Hinkson Martin; second wife, Betty Jean Williams Bohanan Martin; and a son, Larry Martin.
Surviving is a daughter, Darlene Woosley; grandchildren, Brandi (Greg) Ramey, Christopher (Leslie) Martin, Katie (Trevor) Booth, and Thomas Hall. Also surviving are great grandchildren, Miranda Miles, Landon Martin, Easton Martin, Maddie Booth, Olivia Booth; and a sister, Sue Getty.
The funeral service for Floyd Hardwick Martin will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Friday March 3, 2024, at Spears Mill Baptist Church with Rev. Philip Ronk officiating. Interment will follow in North Middletown Cemetery with casket bearers being Chris Martin, Landon Martin, Easton Martin, Derek Osborne, Adrian Martinez, and Rick Claypool. Visitation will begin at 1:00 p.m. prior to the service.
