Brad Mitchell
Brad Mitchell, 70, of Sylacauga, Alabama, formerly Paris, KY passed away on Sunday, April 28, 2024 after his nearly two year battle with pancreatic cancer.
Brad is survived by his three daughters: Amy Mitchell, Whitney Woodard (Alex); and Laurie Forester (Michael); his grandchildren Noah Woodard, Maddie Woodard, Abby Ann Forester, and Ellie Forester, and his siblings Jean Mitchell Newman and Bill Mitchell (Mary).
Brad was preceded in death by his wife of 33 years Ann White Mitchell and his parents Walter and Nancy Mitchell.
Brad retired from AAEP in 2016 where he then turned into a pickleball enthusiast. He also had a love for flying but traded his plane for a boat when he built his lake house in Alabama in 2022.

Brad will be laid to rest in Ochwilla Cemetery, 296 State Rd 21, Hawthorne, FL 32640.
A celebration of life will be held May 19 from 2 – 5 p.m. at the Barr House in Paris.

So sad to hear this news on Brad. I was so proud to call him my cousin. He and his sister Jean and brother Bill all grew up together many years ago. He will be sorely missed. Godspeed to the family.
I am happy that I got the privilege of meeting Brad. It was at the Paris YMCA playing pickleball. He was a very friendly person and a great competitor. I will surely miss him but will remember the great times we spent together. Rest in peace.

So sorry to hear the news about Brad. I’ve known Brad for many, many years as a member of the Beech Aero Club, and always enjoyed visiting with him at our annual events or other fly-ins. I was privileged to get to see him last September in Oshkosh and then again in Alexander City in November. Brad was always the kindest and caring man, and will be greatly missed.
