Noble Lee Smith
Noble Lee Smith, age 89, husband of Bonnie Huffman Smith, departed this life on Wednesday, May 29, 2024, at the University of Kentucky Medical Center in Lexington, Kentucky. Noble Lee was born in Harrison County, Kentucky, on April 9, 1935, the son of the late Harry Lee and Isabel Noble Smith, attended school in Harrison County, and was a member of Central Baptist Church. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a son, John Lee Smith; sister, Una Jean Price, brother, Wilburn Smith; and a son-in-law, Mike Mitchell.
Noble Lee was well known in Bourbon County having owned Smith Auto Sales, retired from Lincoln Income Life Insurance Company, was a real estate broker, and owner of multiple rental properties. He loved being with his family, talking and joking with his friends, and sharing his quick wit with others. He never met a stranger.
Along with his wife Bonnie, he is survived by three daughters, Vickie Smith Mitchell, Lisa Smith (Nate) Allison, Connie Smith-Monahan; four grandchildren, Shane (Kelly) Mitchell, Seth (Jennifer) Mitchell, Lori (James) Beaton, Nobella (Matt) Smith-Monahan; great grandchildren, Taylor (Jarryd) Settles, Michael Mitchell, Jonathon Bales, Kaitlyn Mitchell, Noah Mitchell, Maddie Mitchell, and Kendall Bales. Also surviving is a brother-in-law, Ronnie Huffman; as well as many nieces and nephews.
The funeral service for Noble Lee Smith was at Hinton-Turner Funeral Home on Monday, June 3, 2024, at 11:00 a.m. with Bro. Jonathan Graves and Pastor Josh Ancello officiating. Interment followed in Battle Grove cemetery in Cynthiana, Kentucky with casket bearers being Clayton Fields, Kenny Almeida, Charles Huffman, Eli Marsh, Seth Mitchell, Michael Mitchell, and Matt Evans. Honorary bearers were Ginny Huffman, Emily Alcorn, Madison Milner, Dee-Dee Tolson, and Dexter Price. Visitation was on Sunday evening, June 2nd, from 5:00 p.m. – 8:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
