Nora Edith “Cotton” Dunaway Dawson, wife of Marion “Buddy” Dawson, departed this life on Sunday, September 1, 2024, at the age of 90 years.   Nora was born in Bath County, Kentucky the daughter of the late Ollie Brice and Bertha Lee Gilvin Dunaway, was a member of the Little Rock Homemakers, as well as a member of the Little Rock Christian Church.   In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by two sisters, Beulah Hinkle and Ann Porter.

Along with her husband Buddy, she is survived by her daughter, Betsy (Byron) Craig; two sons, Gary Lee Flanders, Craig Dawson; five grandchildren, Stacey Roy, MacKenzie (Gautam) Wyatt-Babu, Bryan (Andrea) Flanders, Carla (Ray) Blevins, and Jason Flanders.   Also surviving are her great grandchildren, Zachary Collins, Kaitlyn Honeycutt, Stephen Flanders, Seth Flanders, Jacob Blevins; great great grandchild, Marleigh Little; a brother, Nelson Dunaway; and a stepdaughter, Kimberly Dawson Jones.

The funeral service for Nora Edith “Cotton” Dunaway Dawson, will be at 1:00 p.m. on Thursday, September 5, 2024, at Hinton-Turner Funeral Home with Rev. Rex Graham officiating.  Interment will follow in Crown Hill cemetery.   Visitation will begin at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday. www.hintonturner.com
