Michael Desmond Bartrum, a man of loving spirit and boundless creativity, passed away on October 16, 2024, at the age of 38 in Winchester, KY. Born on June 6, 1986, in Cynthiana, KY, Michael’s early years were filled with the warmth of a close-knit family and the joys of small-town life.
Michael was the cherished son of Sheila and Dennis Buckler. He grew up alongside his brother, Damien Bartrum, and sister, Denise (Nathaniel) Craycraft, in an environment that fostered his artistic talents and kindhearted nature. His two nephews, Matthew and Jacob Bartrum, and niece, Genesis Bartrum, were the light of his life, and he took great pleasure in his role as a fun and loving uncle.
Michael’s interests were as varied as they were passionate. He had an innate talent for making knives, a craft that combined his artistic eye with his love for precision and detail. His drawings were a testament to his ability to capture the beauty of the world around him. A voracious reader and lifelong learner, Michael found joy in expanding his knowledge and skills, always eager to explore new ideas and perspectives

Michael is survived by his mother, Sheila; his father, Dennis; his brother, Damien; his sister, Denise (Nathaniel); his beloved nephews, Matthew and Jacob; his niece, Genesis; and a host of aunts, uncles, and cousins who will miss him dearly.
Michael’s life was a beautiful tapestry woven with love, art, and the pursuit of knowledge. As we say goodbye to this remarkable man, we celebrate the indelible mark he has left on our hearts and the world.
