Mae Marie Hill, a beacon of love and faith, passed away peacefully on October 22, 2024, at the age of 62 in Lexington, KY. Born on January 16, 1962, in Mount Sterling, KY, Mae’s life was a testament to the power of family, faith, and community.
Mae’s early years in Mount Sterling were filled with the warmth of a close-knit family and the joys of small-town life. She carried these values throughout her life, creating a home that was always open and hearts that were always full. Mae’s dedication to her family was unwavering, and she was the cherished matriarch who guided with both strength and tenderness.
She is survived by a loving and devoted family, including her four children, David (Tiffany) Hill Jr., Johnny Hill, Ashley (James) Jones, Amber (Casey) Jones; her adored grandchildren, Landon Hill, Caitlyn Jones, Courtney Jones, Brandt Hill, Luke Jones, Peyton Jones, Emma Jones; and her treasured great-grandchild, Camellia Kidd. Mae also leaves behind her caring siblings, James Kaiser, Margie Infantes, Rhoda Guy, and David Lee Jones, along with numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins who will miss her deeply. She was preceded in death by her beloved parents, Johnie Kiser and Nancy Stamper, and her husband, David Hill, with whom she now rests.
Professionally, Mae was known for her nurturing spirit, having spent many years as a babysitter, where she touched the lives of numerous children with her kindness and patience. Later, she brought her organizational skills and warm personality to her role as an office manager, where she was respected and loved by her colleagues.
Mae’s faith was a cornerstone of her existence. She was a regular attendee at her local church, where she found great solace and joy in her community’s fellowship. Her faith-filled life was evident in her actions and the love she shared with everyone around her.
Cooking was another of Mae’s passions, and she was renowned for her culinary skills, often hosting family gatherings that featured her delicious home-cooked meals. These gatherings were not just a feast for the stomach but also for the soul, as laughter and stories were shared around the table.
Mae’s legacy is one of love and devotion. She was the embodiment of a loving, faith-filled life, and her memory will continue to inspire those who knew her. Her gentle spirit and unwavering support were the foundations upon which her family was built, and her influence will be felt for generations to come.

Funeral Services will be conducted at 1:00 PM Saturday, October 26, 2024, at Fayette Chapel United Baptist Church, 150 Skyview Drive, Paris, KY by Bro. C.J. Murray. Burial was in Paris Cemetery.
Visitation will be from 11 AM – 1 PM Saturday, October 26, 2024, at the church.
