Bobby Joe Garrett Sr.
Bobby joe Garrett Sr., 84, passed away under hospice care on November 16, 2024. He was born to the late Russell and Sarah Garrett on April 11, 1940, in Paris, KY.
Bobby attended Western High School, Paris, KY on October 21, 1960, he married Yvonne Thompson, He was a devoted husband, most of all he loved his family and was a loving father and devoted grandfather.
Bobby lived a simple life, one who preferred to give rather than receive, he enjoyed his career as a professional truck driver, with decades of experience. He was a retired truck driver at Malone & Hyde of Nicholasville, KY.
He leaves to cherish his legacy, two sons, Bobby Joe (Lisa) Garrett Jr., Edwin (Roberta) Garrett; daughter, Phyllis (Gary) Hayden; two sisters, Peggy Blackburn, Elizabeth Trumbo; four grandsons, Gill Dewayne Garrett, Hunter Tre’von Hayden, Jamare Lewis, Bobby J. Persley; one step-grandson, Cass Godfrey; five granddaughters, Latoya Garrett, Autumn Hayden, Kara Cornelius, Amari (JayQuan) Johnson, Brandy Garrett; step-granddaughters, Taylor Floyd, Delana Williams, Candice Hutchinson, Ki Ki Hutchinson; two nephews =, Gry Trumbo, Ricky Blackburn; one niece, Sarah Trumbo; a host of great grandchildren and a special friend Ms. Margaret Walk.
Funeral services will be conducted 1:00 PM Saturday, November 23, 2024, at Lusk-McFarland Funeral Home Chapel, 1120 Main Street, Paris, KY by Rev. Gerald Dodge. Burial will be Evergreen Memory Gardens.
Visitation will be from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM at the funeral home.
Pallbearers will be Gry Trumbo, Shawn Trumbo, Joe Lester, Kingsley Padmore, Hunter Hayden and Larry Talbert.
Honorary pallbearers will be Edwin Garrett, Bobby Jo Garrett Jr. and Ricky Blackburn.
