Phyllis Grant

Phyllis Grant was a proud graduate of Bourbon County High School’s class of 1954, where she spread team spirit as a cheerleader. Her commitment to excellence continued into her career where she dedicated many years of service before retiring from Johnson Controls. Those who worked alongside Phyllis remember her as a hardworking and diligent colleague who brought warmth and dedication to her profession.
Beyond her career, Phyllis possessed a love for the simple pleasures in life. She found peace and contentment in the beauty of her garden, nurturing every plant with the same care she gave to her relationships. A member of the Central Baptist Church in Paris, she cultivated her faith with the same love and attention.
Phyllis leaves behind a grateful family who will miss her, including her two stepchildren, Suzanne (Albert Chico) Battershell and Charles Anthony “Tony” Grant, their children, and her dear sister, Mary Marie Jones, along with a cherished multitude of nieces, nephews, and cousins. She now joins in eternal rest those who preceded her, including her beloved husband Charles E. Grant, her parents, Oliver Everett Carpenter and Emma Lee Johnson Carpenter, and her sisters Eunice McConnell and Sue Shreve.
Phyllis Lenore Carpenter Grant lived a life as bountiful and beautiful as her gardens, forever sowing love in the hearts of those she touched. Her memory will continue to bloom in the lives of her family and all who had the privilege to know her.
