Donna L. Marshall Gnau

Donna L. Marshall Gnau, 87, loving wife, mother, sister, grandmother and great grandmother, passed away on December 31, 2024.
A native of Lexington, KY, she was born at Good Samaritan Hospital. She was the daughter of the late J.E. “Pete” Marshall and Olive Nance Marshall and the granddaughter of the late Rodes Gilchrist Marshall.
Donna was preceded in death by her husband of 59 years, Franklin R. Gnau.
Donna was a 1955 graduate of Lafayette High School in Lexington, KY and a charter member of Meadowthorpe Presbyterian Church and she attended Memphis University.
Donna and her family bought a farm in 1972 and lived there for over 40 years. Donna was on the board of the Bargain Box for many years and was the bookkeeper for the farm and for her husbands other businesses.
She enjoyed traveling to the beach, fashion, classical music and reading. There were many family and friend visits and cookouts on the farm over the years.
Survivors include four children, Eric Gnau, Robin (Lloyd) Young, Peter (Sherry) Gnau and Holly Gnau; seven grandchildren, Ben Gnau, Ericka Rose, Kim Himes, Jared Young, Mekala Gnau, Jeff Gnau and Daniel Gnau; three great grandchildren, Kayson Gnau, Lucien Gnau and Elena Gnau; one sister, Jo Marshall, two nieces, Davy Green and Amy Smith and great niece, Elizabeth Green.
A memorial service will be conducted at 6:00 PM Monday January 13, 2025, at the Lusk-McFarland Funeral Home Chapel, 1120 Main St., Paris, KY.
Visitation will be from 5:00 PM Monday January 13, 2025 until the hour of service at the funeral home.
