Sara Hope Vance

Sara Hope Vance, 54, departed to her heavenly home on January 25, 2025, at Baptist Health after a long illness, surrounded by loved ones. Sara was born on October 14, 1970, in Paris, KY to Bonnie Lykins and the late Jimmie Vance. She was a graduate of Bourbon County High School in 1988 where she was a member of the marching band and all-state band and formerly worked at Bourbon Community Hospital.
Sara had a love for people and never met a stranger. Whenever she was around, there was no shortage of laughter.
Sara is survived by her parents, Bonnie and Maurice Lykins; siblings, Scarlett (Tony) Young, Holly Vance, Kelly (Leah) Lykins, Ryan Lykins, and Carie Nutter; nieces and nephews, Kristin (Tyler) Morris, Allison Morris, Lauren (Andrew) Gambrel, Taylor (Anthony) Burgan, Belle (Alex) Burgan, Heidi Lykins, Peyton Lykins, Skyler Lewis, Wyatt May, Alyssa May, Jalyn Lykins, Houston Lykins; and a host of great nieces and nephews, cousins, and close friends.
A memorial service will be held on Saturday, February 8, 2025, at Old Union Christian Church, 6827 Russell Cave Road in Lexington, by Rev. Scott Winkler. Visitation will be from 10am-12pm with service to follow.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Old Union Christian Church or Bluegrass Care Navigators.
