Donald Ray “Donnie” Foley
Donald Ray “Donnie” Foley, husband of Jeanene Bailey Foley, of Paris, departed this life on Monday, January 27, 2025, at Clark Regional Medical Center, having attained the age of 72 years. Donnie was born in Bath County, Kentucky on August 18, 1952, the son of the late Marvin Donald and Marjorie Griffin Foley, was a 1970 graduate of Bourbon County High School, attended Eastern Kentucky University, and was a veteran of the United States Army. In addition to being a farmer, he served as the Bourbon County Judge Executive from January 1, 1998, to December 31, 2014; was the former Chairman of the Bluegrass Area Development District, as well as Chairman of the Kentucky Association of Counties, and was a member of numerous other associations. He owned a Pepsi franchise, delivering throughout the area, was also the owner & operator of Bourbon County Steam Laundry and Drycleaning for many years, and always raised a garden.
In addition to his wife Jeanene, he is survived by a daughter, Kristin (Joey) Riley; sons, Craig (Shawn) Foley, Shane (Heather) Foley; grandchildren, Mason Foley, Miles Foley, Anna Foley, Dawson McCoun, Addison McCoun, E.J. Riley, Keira Riley, and Eva Riley. He is also survived by a sister, Brenda St. John; and his beloved dog, Little Bit.
The funeral service for Donald Ray “Donnie” Foley, will be at 11:00 a.m. on Monday, February 3, 2025, at Hinton-Turner Funeral Home with Rev. Rex Graham officiating. Interment will occur at a later date with casket bearers being Harvey “June Bug” Parker, Darnell Hall, Jimmy Mason, Harry Laytart, Marion “Buddy” Dawson, Dale Emmons, Timothy Henderlight, and Conner “Buddy” Fletcher. Honorary bearers are Tommy Lyle, Cecil Foley, John Smoot, Joe Fryman, G. Davis Wilson, and the former staff that have served alongside Donnie over the years. Visitation will be on Sunday, February 2, 2025, from 5:00 p.m. – 8:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
