Robert “Bob” L. Eads

Robert “Bob” L. Eads passed away peacefully after a long battle with dementia on Friday, February 14, 2025, at Thomson-Hood Veterans Center in Wilmore, KY.
Bob was the beloved husband of 60 years to Carol Fay Eads, loving father of Stephanie (Chris) Gross and Mark (Shannon) Eads, and cherished grandfather of Lauren (Travis) Gumm, Logan (Courtney) Gross, Jacob Eads, Maddie Eads, Kendall Forish, and Katherine Forish. He was the great-grandfather of Cooper and Graham Gumm and Knox Gross. He was the brother of Rebecca McCarty and Sue Faulconer, and a friend to many.
Bob was preceded in death by his parents Elizabeth W. and Willis G. Eads, sister Betty True and brother Carl Eads.
Bob had 81 years to touch the lives of those who knew him. He was born in Paris, KY, on July 1, 1943. He graduated from Bourbon County High School, class of 1961. He joined the United States Navy in 1961 right out of high school, where he served for 2 years active duty and 6 years in the Naval Reserves. After his active duty, he studied to become a Tool and Die maker and then went on to earn his Engineering Degree in Manufacturing Engineering. He worked for Sargent and Greenleaf in Nicholasville, KY, for 35 years. He worked on high security locks for the government and the banking industry. He got to travel the world for Sargent and Greenleaf and retired in 2009. After retirement, Bob enjoyed fishing, hunting, and raising a garden on their farm in Paris, KY. Bob was a practical jokester with a firm handshake. He could build or repair anything and was always willing to help anyone in need.
Bob was a member of Clintonville Christian Church where he served as a Deacon. He loved his church and church family.
Family and friends were invited to celebrate Bob’s life on Tuesday, February 18, 2025 at Clintonville Christian Church, 141 Austerlitz Road, Paris, KY from 10:00 a.m. to 1:00 with service at 1:00 p.m. Burial followed at Clintonville Cemetery.
Pallbearers were Logan Gross, Jacob Eads, Travis Gumm, Joey Faulconer, Matt Faulconer, Jeff Douglas, Mickey Ryker and John Whitehead. Honorary pallbearers were Joe Larry Eads, JB Eads, Richard Eads, Joe David Faulconer, Virgil Slone, Jimmy Alexander and the Deacons of the Clintonville Christian Church.
