Forrest Allen Thomas

Forrest Allen Thomas, age 85, of Nicholasville, KY, husband of Mildred “Millie” Turpin Thomas, departed this life on Monday, February 24, 2025, at Baptist Health Lexington. Forrest was born in Paris, Kentucky on January 23, 1940, the son of the late Walter E. and Anna Margaret Emmons Thomas, a high school graduate, a veteran of the United States Army, and was a long-time agent for Commonwealth Life Insurance Company. After retiring, they moved to Florida where he owned and operated his own painting business. In his spare time, he enjoyed hunting, fishing, camping, and was campground host at the Kentucky Horse Park for nine years. He was a member of David’s Fork Baptist Church in Lexington. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother, Bobby Thomas.
Along with his wife Millie, he is survived by three sons, Steve (Christine) Thomas, Jeff Livengood (Jane), Barry Thomas; three grandchildren, Ellen Livengood (Ryan Hardin), Ivy Livengood, and Annie Livengood (Jhan Acuff). Also surviving are his great grandchildren, Trevor Evans and Rhys Acuff.
The funeral service for Forrest Allen Thomas will be at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday, March 1, 2025, at Hinton-Turner Funeral Home with Rev. Mickey Hyder officiating. Interment will follow in Paris cemetery with casket bearers being Steve Thomas, Jhan Acuff, Trevor Evans, Bob Smith, Myron Fryer, Mark Bell, and Jerry Earlywine.
