Joe Larry Eads
Joe Larry Eads, widower of Judith Mastin Eads, departed this life on Saturday, February 22, 2025, at Bourbon Community Hospital E.R., at the age of 84. Joe was born in Paris, Kentucky on October 14, 1940, the son of the late John F. and Josephine Biddle Eads, was a graduate of Bourbon County High School where he served as class president, as well as a graduate of Physician Assistant’s School from the University of Kentucky. He was a veteran of the United States Air Force and retired from the Veteran’s Administration Hospital where he worked in Radiology. He was an active member of Paris First Methodist Church having served on several committees, and choir member, was an avid horseman breeding and racing many horses, a former member of the Paris Civitan Club, served on the board of Paris-Bourbon County Library as well as the Paris Planning and Zoning Committee, an animal lover, and was often found with a book in hand as he was an avid reader.
In addition to his parents and wife, he was preceded in death by a brother, John Lyle Eads, a brother-in-law, Terry Finley, and a son-in-law, Edward Figgins.
Surviving is a daughter, Blair Boone Eads (Hubert Michael Durbin); son, Holton Louden Eads; brother, Ronald Lee (Paulette) Eads; and a sister, Deborah Florence Finley. Also surviving are nieces, Marijohn Lehmann, Jenny Arnold (James); nephew Brian Eads (Shannon); several great nieces and extended family; and a sister-in-law, Betty Jones Eads.
The memorial gathering for Joe Larry Eads will begin at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, March 29, 2025, at Paris First Methodist Church with the Celebration of Life Service to begin at 1:00 p.m. officiated by Rev. Ken Southgate and Rev. David Mefford.
