Ruby Frances Wells Robinson Linville
Ruby Frances Wells Robinson Linville, age 95, widow of Alvin Robinson and Kenneth Ray Linville, died Saturday, April 19, 2025 at Bourbon Heights Nursing Home. She was born December 27, 1929 in Bourbon County, daughter of the late Harry B. and Ida Lee Carter Wells. Ruby was a member of First Baptist Church-Paris, attended Spears Mill Baptist Church, and had worked as a waitress and a seamstress. She enjoyed laughing, talking, doing crossword puzzles, being outside, but her biggest love was her grandchildren, great grandchildren, and great, great grandchildren. Ruby took care her brothers during their sicknesses.
She is survived by a son, Marvin Robinson; daughter, JoAnn (Jimmie) Florence; seven grandchildren, Stephanie (Tracy) Welch, Jeanette (Joey) Hatton, Joseph “Joey” (Amy) Florence, Jeff (Lynn) Florence, Robin Browning, Preston Bartlett, Foster Bartlett; nine great grandchildren, Alishia Horn, Patrick Tubbs, Kherington Hatton, Waverly Hatton, Jessica Vasalopolus, James Florence, Jennifer Arnold, Jacob Robinson, Haley Rae Robinson; twelve great, great grandchildren; and two sisters, Nina Carter Wells McClain and Margaret Wells King. In addition to her husbands and parents, Ruby was preceded in death by a daughter, Donna Brunker Keisling; two grandsons, Vincent Edward Robinson, Perk Bartlett; daughter-in-law, Rebecca “Becky” Robinson; three sisters, Ethel Wells Blake, Stella Wells Browning, Anna B. Wells Link; and five brothers, Lindbergh, Marvin Dean, Harry, Elmer, and Marion Wells.
Visitation will be 1:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m. Friday, April 25, 2025 at the Hinton-Turner Funeral home followed by a funeral service at 3:00 p.m. with Elder C.J. Murray officiating. Honorary bearers will be Monty Wells, Bud Wells, Dale Blake, David Wells, Mike Wells, and Joe King.
